Cool (low 60s), overcast, light to moderate southeast winds. I checked the beach, Magic Hedge, and peripheral plantings. Good numbers of shorebirds, at least early in the morning, but low numbers of warblers and other migrant passerines.

    Comments: Juvenile on the public beach early.

    Comments: Juveniles in the fluddle on the public beach early in the morning. Medium sized, long-legged sandpipers, whitish underparts with some streaking on sides, dark upperpart feathers with pale fringes, producing scaly effect, prominent whitish supercillium, fairly long dark bill.

    Comments: Molting adults in the fluddle on the public beach early in the morning. Large, long-winged peeps, as large as a Sanderling, grayish overall, white underparts with streaking on the breast and down the sides and onto the flanks. White rump noted on one bird.
