Number observed: 1
Comments: Along the side of the roadway. Turned around to get a better look. Individual with me was not a birder but when I showed her a picture of a Chukar she was sure of the identification. When I showed her pictures of similar birds she was still sure and distinguished it by the vertical barring on the side. Bird was appropriate size and shape. The black band through the eye, wrapping under the chin and the vertical barring on the side was clear. May have been domesticated.
