  2. Number observed: 1

Comments: Observed well, at close range, both on the water and in flight, in direct comparison to nearby Red-necked Phalaropes. Noticeably larger and plumper than RNPH, with a shorter, thicker, bill with a yellow base. Adult molting onto basic plumage with remnants of rufous feathering along the flanks and on the uppertail coverts.

  4. Pomarine/Parasitic Jaeger

    Number observed: 1

Comments: Most likely a Parasitic Jaeger based on structure. Much less bulky and and barrel-chested than would be expected of Pomarine Jaeger. Adult intermediate morph bird with dark collar. Short and point central tail feathers.

  5. Number observed: 1

Comments: Seen reasonably well in flight from a 45 degree angle from behind. A large alcid, black above an white below, with a pointy bill. Large size ruled out other local alcids.
