Comments: Continuing bird found earlier today by Scott Hoppe and Mark Martucci. After an hour of scanning the large south pond, a peregrine briefly flushed most of the shorebirds—and not long after the Red Knot was spotted scuttling around near the center of the pond. It stayed in the center for at least a half an hour (until we left), mostly preening and foraging. See poor digiscoped photos. County bird for us (and quite a pretty one)!
