Mostly cloudy, cool (60s), light winds. I walked the length of the beach and checked the Dunes, peripheral plantings, and Magic Hedge. A few surprises.

    Comments: All local birds, including a family group with several nearly fully grown young.

    Comments: Continuing pair with new nesting location in the far southeastern corner of the public beach near the Bank Swallow colony. One egg present. Both birds were still hanging around the area of the first nest.

    Comments: One adult and 1 third cycle type bird on the public beach.

    Comments: Juvenile being mobbed by Blue Jays and other passerines in the peripheral plantings.

    Comments: Seen and heard calling low in the Magic Hedge. Small flycatcher with dark wings, prominent white wingbars, olive upperparts, whitish underparts, green face fading into white throat, complete white eyering, long primary projection (for an Empid). Heard repeatedly calling, a sharp "peet".

    Comments: Immature male moving around the Point. Heard singing and calling.
