  1. Number observed: 1

Comments: Photos, audio. Adult male initially heard singing from a group of cottonwoods at the entrance to the parking area. Distinctive song: fast, rising trill ending with a sharp note (very familiar with this song from time spent in Maine). Eventually got a few glimpses and blurry photos showing the white eye arcs, chestnut breast, yellow throat, and blue-gray upperparts. Known to be a rare but somewhat regular migrant through central NM, although it seems a bit late.
