    Comments: Observed at the junction of Juniper Canyon Trail and The Boot Canyon Trail. Was being chased by three Acorn Woodpeckers. Large flycatcher with distinct Head pattern: White eyebrow, dark eyeline, white between the eyeline and dark malar. Bright yellow underparts with extensive streaking. Brown upper-parts. Rufous tail with dark inner feathers.

    Comments: Dark upper parts. Dark wings/ no white. Darker head and throat. Red underparts. White corners on the tail. Frequently fans tail while moving across canyon slope or in trees. Male periodically sang from trees. Frequently associates with with female.
