    Comments: Seen flying over dry settling pond. It had a black head. From the picture I took, David Yee, from California, identified the gull as a Franklin's Gull. David Yee stated in an email, "A Bonie would have large white wedges on both sides of outer wings and lack the pale secondary bar. This is a Franklin's rather than a Laughing because of the restricted amount of black on wingtips that also have extensive white on the tips of the primaries, which Laughing lacks."
