Comments: Seen near entrance low in shrubs. Tawny brown warbler with distinctive yellowish crown stripe and supercilium, “roman nose” bill shape. Seen well at 20 feet for a minute as it foraged actively close to the ground then lost. Additional details post observation: very distinctive warbler that I am very familiar with, with a distinctive unique striped head with no similar confusion species, except Swainson’s which has no crown stripe. An early date but they arrive on breeding territory in central Indiana in the last week of April. I lost the bird as it flitted low in the undergrowth whilst trying to take a photo.
