Comments: Conservative number. Estimate 85-120 Rusty Blackbirds staging to roost on rail bed trees near Beaverdam brook. Some stopped briefly and then continued to the willow trees out on at the 6th hole on the Reedy Meadow Golf course or the trees at the edge of the marsh on the golf course. At least one group of about 15 came up out of the marsh by the rail bed and 4 Rusty Blackbirds (2 male, 2 female) were photographed on emergent shrubs in the marsh. After sunset, small groups flew down to the marsh to roost about 50 ft east of the rail bed.
