Seasonably cool, heavy overcast, light winds. I checked lake Michigan from the fishing pier and checked the peripheral plantings and Magic Hedge. Excellent visibility on the lake. Good numbers of waterfowl on the lake and moving north. Good numbers of early spring passerine migrants, especially Dark-eyed Juncos, American Tree Sparrows, and Song Sparrows, some of which were flying in off Lake Michigan early in the morning; a few even landed on the fishing pier.
