Happy New Year! A little owling to start 2019 the right way. Heard a Spring Peeper calling a few times from a wet area of the woods

First bird of 2019! Heard singing when I pulled up to the site, a series of rhythmic toots coming from the woods. It was an unexpected treat to hear spontaneous song at this relatively early date. I suspect that the warm temperatures following the overnight rainstorms may have prompted these vocalizations
