    Comments: Seen at eastern side of lake. Dark brown scoter with whitish cheek patch and spot near bill, prominent rounded dark bill. Feathering did not cover base of bill like a White-winged Scoter. Photos.

    Comments: Including a female with a dull orange bill (seen at end of my visit). Two male goldeneyes raised and dramatically threw back their heads several times in the presence of two females who showed no interest.
