I birded the camping area, the creek, the beach, and the pier. From high 60sF to mid-70sF. Slight breeze, sky partly cloudy early. The sparrows and Palm Warblers here a couple days ago were mostly absent. I was joined by Ken Pearlman at about 11am who was able to see the bunting.

Comments: Bird is at 34.47316 -120.22853. Belly and breast pale yellow green. Entire crown and the back brighter green, no wing bars. Tail with turquoise cast to the green. White, complete eyering. Slightly bi-colored bill--mandible paler than maxilla. I could not assess bill shape. First seen at about 9:55; seen again in same area at 11:40am. Difficult to detect due to color blending with Scirpis and other shrubs.
