The bird sang once as I left the building. I had played the tape yesterday and recognized the song immediately. This is the only warbler I have heard sing all fall. I know from experience with them up North that they will do this in fall migration. I looked in vain so I decided to play the tape just once. It came from where it had sang just like it was on a string and missed my head by about a foot. As it flew by I was able to see a green warbler with yellow underneath and a gray hood along with bright white eye arcs. Amy saw the bird later on the ground and Leigh also thought she did.
