I suspected this was a good bird for the west slope of Ecuador so I did photograph it. A birder staying at the Yellow House, under Anonymous, saw a male Cerulean Warbler on November 1st about 150 yards from where I saw this bird. My bird was by the "swimming hole" at the Yellow House.

About 25 feet up in bamboo on edge of forest entrance trail. Its dark brown coloration attracted my interest. Seedeater bill. No streaks below. I tried photographing it. All I got was a headless rear view but that may still be of some use so I am including it.
