Found chasing gulls over Maumee Bay around shipping channel. Directly east of viewing area. South of lighthouse and north of dredge material island. All brown bird. Had single distinct pale area in primary area on the underside of wings near ends. Easily changed directions as it chased gulls. Up/down flight pattern above and below the horizon. Thin body and thin wings with pointy tips. Did not see any trace of two pale areas underwing and didn't have any hint of being big, fat, or bulky like Pomarine. Smaller than Herring Gull. Wind direction from east blowing west at ~15 mph. Cloudy day to block sun but at water level good visibility with little heat shimmer. Swarovski 95mm ATX scope. Too far for 400mm camera photo, needed to digiscope to get any picture, which wasn't attempted.
