US Fish & Wildlife Service - Migratory Bird Management and US Geological Survey Aerial Bar-tailed Godwit Surveys conducted by H. Wilson (pilot/observer), D. Ruthrauff (observer), and Z. Pohlen (observer) in a USFWS MBM Cessna 2016 Amphibian. Surveys were conducted from Point Sheldon on the YK Delta to Nelson Lagoon/Mud Bay on the Alaska Peninsula. Operations were based out of Bethel for surveys along the YK Delta coast on 7 and 8 September and King Salmon on 9 September for surveys along the Alaska Peninsula.

    Comments: Large flocks on the flats too distant to ID to species. Most likely DUNL, ROSP, WESA with other things included (plovers, yellowlegs, etc.). Care was taken to estimate each flock.
