Comments: Called sporadically - a soft, raspy wheeze. Not a call I was familiar with from this species, but which closely resembled a recording of juvenile begging calls found on the Xeno Canto website: https://www.xeno-canto.org/144709 Bird appeared to be in fresh plumage and to have some yellow at the corners of its gape, pointing to a hatch-year bird, which might explain the call type still being used.
