On Mt. Trashmore. Only seen in flight. I didn't wait for it to land as that would probably be a while. Identified by its flight call (tee-lee-oo) not the longspur rattle. I have only heard this call in fall. The rattle can be heard in fall, winter, and spring.

On Mt. Trashmore. Only seen in flight. Identified by call (kiddle) and tail pattern. When it flew, it went from the extreme south-central side of the field to the central part of the field. This is the only call I have heard from Chestnut-collared Longspurs. Only seen flying 2-5 feet above the ground.
