The bird was first spotted by Kevin, the volunteer when we first arrived. The bird stayed in the front area near the parking lot them later moved to the back yard are4a. Much larger bird than any of the other species. The long wide tail, with considerable white on the outside leading edges. The two white stripes on the head also made this a very easy identification.

This is two of the confirmed Violet-crowned Hummingbirds I saw today. There were a couple of juvenile birds as well, but I was not 100% sure. Two of the birds were seen together in the front area, near the parking area, the other two were in the back. The weather was quite rainy.
