Comments: at north end, seen briefly twice, and I was too slow for photos. Sparrow appearance and behavior (popped up to a perch, then back into the weeds). Prominent eye ring, intricately patterned back with brown, orange, and other colors. Fairly large elongated but conical bill and flat head. Tail appeared short, but since the bird was mostly facing away from me it was hard to tell for sure. Smaller than nearby WCSP.

Comments: Continuing. Seen at two locations a few hundred meters and about 3 hours apart, but presumably just one that moved. First at west end of channel between lakes, then on south island in north lake. Photographed both times.
