Very birdy with many migrants in the bushes and grass, especially sparrows, yellow-rumped and palm warblers. However the strong winds made getting on birds difficult so many birds "got away", especially sparrows.

Several groups came in off the lake at dawn

Kicked up twice by the western panne. Small rail with pale trailing edge to the wing, stubby pale bill, fluttering flight, trailing legs.
