Very quick survey on way to family event. Did not come close to doing justice to the duckage on the pond by the entrance (much less the flyovers).

Browner than accompanying peeps, w yellowish legs.

Not an expert on long v short-billed by any means (familiar w sb at home in NY). Observed 4 dowitchers feeding. Three were markedly darker than the fourth, and had truly extraordinarily long bills. Am reasonably comfortable calling them lb; not sure about 4th.
