Birded both east and west of highway along wallow, clear with light winds, several mixed flocks

Observations

  1. Number observed: 4
  2. Number observed: 1

    Comments: harassed much larger accipiter

  3. Number observed: 1

Comments: Large immature accipiter soared overhead, probably would have passed it off as a heavily streaked COHA except that a SSHA swooped at the accipiter twice and looked absolutely tiny by comparison, quickly took a few pics as bird moved off, undertail coverts appear to have dark streaks, body somewhat heavy and wings fairly broad, bars in tail appear crooked, had originally entered as Accipiter sp. but two other experienced birders believe it to be a goshawk
