Massive lot at the edge of the marsh after the boardwalk.

Picked up an alarm calling bird flying over the mudflats. Appeared to be flushed by a young Peregrine Falcon. Large shorebird with long curved bill, striped head just some of the distinctive features.

1, 3, 2, 1, (counted 112) on the edge of the flats pretty far out but easily identified. Large black cap massive red bill. Prior to the rains, I was able to pick out a few juveniles from the line of birds on the flats.

Unmistakable with short tail, broad wings held slightly forward. Observed soaring near the boardwalk.
