Male, photos. First heard (pip call), and it sounded like an Eastern (less sharp of a call than Rocky Mtns). So I tracked it down and got photos. More white wing spangling than on Rocky Mtns, but not quite as much as some Easterns, so a hybrid is possible. But the pip calls sounded like an Eastern, and also one chatter call it gave was very different from Rocky Mnts.
