This is a conservative estimate. As I was walking back to the car on Sigler Rd., I saw a huge flock flying south from Lake Erie Metropark into the mouth of the Huron River. About 2/3 of the flock flew East of the islands in the mouth of the river and the rest came further in settling just North of the Nelson Unit. This photo is a small fraction (less than 1/10) of the total flock.
