Calm, sunny, 70-80° F. Muggy. With Sarah Toner Andrew Sturgess. Started at sigler rd entrance, down causeway between long pond and vermet then out to cell 3+4 via main causeway. Retraced route on return trip. Most shorebird habitat in long pond along N + E edges of unit.

*rare? Adult molting into basic, making ID a challenge. The few remaining alternate scapulars and coverts appeared to have the tell-tale white tips of Long-billed. Impression based on cursory view was long-billed based on hunch-backed shape. Silent. Andrew got diagnostic photos (will work on acquiring soon). I got poor, undiagnostic photos
