Cinnamon Teal

Male seen in flight with other teal. Strong cinnamon cast to body and blue wing patch

2
Blue-winged/Cinnamon Teal

Two female teal seen in flight over the course of 4 hours had notably duller blue wing patches than the other teal. What else I saw on the bird did not match perfect cite, and as such im unsure whatto think. Can bwte show this pattern? If so it is a rare aberration...less than 1% of birds. Or are these imm females?

California Gull

Likely continuing bird from a week ago. Possibly two present. One seen at east pond and another seen about an hour later on nw pond. I never saw gull movement between the two reservoirs in this time. Second cycle. Studied well on s side of e pond. Larger than adjacent rbgu (rbgu gone by the time photos were taken) with pale pink base to bill and black tip, smudgy undersides palest by breast, mantle darker than rbgu, pink legs. Overall more angular head cf rbgu round head and less compact-looking. Photod poorly (and non diagnostically?)
