Staring down 9 months and 10 days tomorrow I decided to spend my last day of freedom doing what I love to do instead of what I should have done.

So it's boiled eggs, almonds and dried apricots for lunch tomorrow.

The heron seemed to be sound to sleep in the willows and wasn't bothered by me and Ashley hanging around the drip at all. Strange. It finally did wake up.

1
Empidonax sp.

An Acadian or another Least. I didn't get a good look at the eye ring but the wing bars were very white and bold.

6
Great Crested Flycatcher

The plumage of this flycatcher threw us off. It was grayer on the back and seemed to lack some of the rufous markings on the wing and tail. Maybe a young bird or fresh plumage?
