Groove-billed Ani

Seen between 7:15 AM - 7:26 AM, perched on an upright iron pipe next to a large willow by the small pond that is just north of the parking lot. It flew down to the tall grass to grab insects a couple of times and then flew back up to the pipe. Finally, at 7:26 AM in flew down to the tall grass and stayed there. At that point we lost track of it and did not see it again. When we rechecked the area at 8:45 AM we did not see it. During the time we saw the ani, we never did hear it vocalize.
