Presumably the same bird initially found by Audrey Whitlock and previously reported by many from the North Pond of Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. Alternate plumaged male. Deep brick color on neck, breast, and upper belly. White eyestripe, white belly. Black bill and legs. Medium size (larger than Least Sandpiper, small than Pectoral Sandpiper). Feeding with a flock consisting of all the birds listed above in a rain pool in the middle of the loop in front of the Visitor Center. Pictures obtained.
