Rough conservative guess.

Viewed in the East Pool in a flock of about 25 Semis. Long and slightly drooped bill. Overall a chunkier shorebird than the near by semis. New year bird for me!

Semipalmated/Western Sandpiper

One shorebird viewed in the East Pool that I wasn't to tell which species. Probably a western since I found one right near by. This one was a bad light so I wasn't able to tell for sure so I just listed it as Semipalmated/Western Sandpiper.

Continuing. Viewed slightly before marker 4 in the channel. Unfortunately, it looked very unhealthy and was for sure a sick bird. It most probably got pushed to shore during the Nor'easter over the weekend.
