Blue Grosbeak

Continuing first year male, originally found by Darren Clark in late June. Extremely skittish bird. He was singing (short 2-3 second warble) for the 1.5+ hours I was in the area and I could never get a recognizable photo. Skulked in the lower branches of the willows of Camas Creek along a 100 yard stretch, about 500 yards down the maintenance road south of Toomey Pond. Blue/purple head & back, brown wings w/darker primaries.
