as I pull up fresh juv RT, no doubt from nearby nest, swoops low and attracts a strafing attack from adult female AK

after strafing RT, female lands in dead tree next to tree with nest box; after a couple minutes it flew toward roadside tree with quick shallow wingbeats and chattering calls; it was answered by identical calls and the male flew out with similar wingbeats and carrying a small rodent; with the female still flying around, the male put the rodent into the nest box and then perched on a small branch just outside the box opening
