Comments:
After work, went in search of that tricolored heron. While looking, it seemed that there were not that many herons and egrets in the marsh. Being low tide, they were likely in the ditches. But in the last 15 minutes of my time there, scads of them were flying out of the marshes and trees towards the sound and lowering sun. Group after group they came. They were on there way to roost overnight, most likely, on some nearby island. Lovely to see in the fading sun. This fly-out was all seen from the end of Sound View (what a lovely spot) as I did not dare tramp through the weeds and grasses at the end of Edmunds. Critter report: 12 bunnies.
