Comments:
With Don Fraser; a visit primarily for butterflies. We walked the complete "long trail," which i don't recall ever having done before. The weather was sunny, hot, humid, and with calm winds. Not much was around, no doubt owing at least partially to the tine of day. There were no mosquitoes but the Deer Flies were annoying. Other taxa: Several Julia Butterflies (Dryas iulia).

This is checklist #45 (of 72) from a three-day trip to Everglades National Park and Homestead (28 Jun), Matheson Hammock Park, the Mainline Keys, and Miami Springs (29 Jun), and the Miami, Naples, and Nokomis suburbs (30 Jun).
