Unfortunately, the nesting yellow-crowned night herons are all located on private properties and cannot be disclosed. But the homeowner graciously allowed them to be viewed, photographed, and recorded for the CT bird atlas. Many, many thanks.

Of the juveniles, 4 were fledglings and 4 were just-hatched eggs, evidence of which was 4 broken egg shells on the ground beneath a second nest. The 12 that were "seen," in a dying light, were associated with 2 nests. A third nest was seen at another location, but by then was too dark to discern birds. A fourth nest nearby has been seen by another birder. Many, many thanks, Terry. :) All nests were in block 98F.
