Comments:
Very low water for this, my latest spring visit to the Coginchaug River by canoe. The main channel was very narrow with full growth of bordering aquatic plants - difficult paddling in the entrance channel for one; would have been more so for two. Least Bittern, Virginia Rail, Sora, and Willow Flycatcher were not detected on this trip. One muskrat seen in the water. Atlas Block 82A.
