Observed this bird in Raymond Pool for 30 minutes together with 15 other birds. Rapidly foraging in shallow water with several greater yellowlegs and dowitchers. Orange legs, brown back with dark barring, a bit shorter than greater yellowlegs, bill shorter and straight. Pale base of bill, buff upper breast, whitish belly and under tail coverts. Bill was darkish at tip, lighter colored at base. Scapulars were constantly fluffed up in the light breeze. Very active bird, often turning, striding away from other birds and returning.
