Staked out rarity. Several marginally acceptable photos taken. Sitting in one place the entire time at the edge of the frigatebird colony. Wings hanging down, had tucked. Does not look healthy at all.

Melanistic individual, probably the same one seen on Loggerhead Key last year.

Rough count by 5’s. Big numbers present nearly everywhere.

60

Rough accumulative account. Every bit of habitat had multiple AMRE. Probably actually an underestimate.

12

Fairly careful count of individuals throughout the park.

Several scattered about the island. Photographed some. Rails bobbing, yellow throat and yellow undertail, rusty cap and dark eye line, fine streaking underneath.

Apparently two different birds seen. I heard both. Flat call note suggestive of MYWA. The one I actually saw had a yellow face, black throat, white underparts with black streaks on flanks. The other bird was said to have less extensive black on the throat.

Are you submitting a complete checklist of the birds you were able to identify?

Yes
