3
Mourning Dove

Given that this bird is nesting, it is likely a Caribbean Mourning Dove. The Mourning Dove was not common in the keys until apparently the Caribbean population colonized this region. Caribbean birds are more richly colored in the underparts, but field identification is still based mainly on range.

Double-crested Cormorant

Most were offshore.

3
Brown Pelican
3
Cattle Egret
2
Osprey

Pair on a nest platform nearby. Some Ospreys in the keys are apparently strays from the Caribbean population. Caribbean birds have all white heads. I have seen one on the Seven Mile Bridge near Marathon.

1
Merlin

One flying high overhead with some sort of prey item, likely a small bird, in it's talons.
