Unmistakable. Breeding plumage. Large white collar. Thanks to Adam Byrne for finding it, and then driving us there. Near pump house by Mouillee Creek entrance in "new" shorebird habitat. It then moved to a pond further south.

Lesser Black-backed Gull

Dark horizontal underwing pattern. This soaring bird had a smallish bill, eliminating GBBG. I never saw back color, but other birders saw that it was not jet black.

Glossy/White-faced Ibis

Ibis sp. ID of this bird is problematic. Mostly fits with White-faced Ibis; after all, it has a whitish/cream border around face, eliminating Glossy, which won't show a border. However, it lacks the bright red where the bill meets the red eye. FIrst found by Jeff Stacey and then relocated by Jeff, Adam Byrne and myself in Bad Creek area along a dike that parallels Roberts Rd.

This individual looks identical that one reported from Lorain, Ohio, two days before. That bird was noted as "flying east" in the afternoon. That bird has been reported as a White-faced Ibis.

(Not a Glossy Ibis, but I couldn't find any way to post without including Glossy in species name.)
