I took a couple of long distance shots. I didn't feel like walking down to the dog beach. I watched the bird through my scope until I saw the bird open its wings. I saw the black axillaries. The bird was mostly in basic plumage with only a couple of black spots on the side. This is my earlies arrival of this species at Montrose.

An adult bird a little closer than the Black-bellied Plover. I also took a couple of distant shots. This ties my latest departure for Montrose.
