Female hidden in with Lesser Scaup. Mostly asleep, but obviously the shape of a goldeneye: diver, not elongated like the mergansers, brown, rounded head, nearly solid gray back and sides except for standard white patch on wing.

shorebird sp.

Rapidly moved in and out along shoreline, so we thought there were only a few until they all popped out. Needed to scope, but not a good place/time to get out, so they remain unidentified. :(

gull sp.

Getting dark, getting tough to ID, many too distant, and one "gull tornado."

Um...there have been a lot of these? Very large diving birds, black head, big black bill, sharply black and white patterned on the back, white on sides, etc. Counted. One group contained 11.
