Photos. South dike road of tour loop. This is now 3 out of 4 years with Whimbrel seen in Box Elder County near or on Bear River MBR, although this is much earlier than the others -- May 9, 2015 & May 3, 2016; both on Bird Refuge Rd.

Seems incredible but the entire main pond was drained and absolutely covered in them. Counted by 10s initially then by 100s. Estimated 6000 then another 140 in shallow water on east dike road (usual spot).
