A minimum of two, likely 3, visited the boat over the course of the day. Unmistakeble bird, see attached photo.

Hutton's/Fluttering Shearwater

Passed in front of the boat in inshore waters on the return leg. Suggested as likely Fluttering on brief views but disappeared before photos could be taken to confirm ID.

Called as a Pom Jaeger as it approached from the east in deep water beyond the shelf, but as it got closer it became apparent that the trailing appendages were not spoon-tipped streamers but long legs!

2

In deep pelagic waters, flew past together from further out to sea. Unexpected!

9

Flyovers of twos and threes in inshore waters on the way out.
