Birds seen throughout the day until about 5 PM. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, light breeze up to 20 mph with higher gusts; from 50 up to 70 degrees. With Katie Rooney.

Not a white breasted nuthatch because it’s smaller and has an evenly colored rufous breast and belly. Also because it has a dark eyeline in addition to a dark cap. Back is warmer gray than white-breasted’s back. Observed in willows in parklike area south of beach bathrooms
