These birds were flying low over the Woods most of the morning to the huge flock across Highway 87. There must have been 5000 geese over in the marsh. There had been a prescribed burn in late January/early February. The geese I saw were all Snow Geese.

The falcon was west of the woods. When I saw it the raptor was hovering in the air above a snag on a small tree next to the metal building. It had been disturbed from that perch and was being harassed by an American Kestrel.
